Challenge

STARTSPEAK addresses the social issue of digital exclusion. The broader STARTSPEAK project aims to address this need and provide tools that enable participation in the creation of art and share of artwork in the digital space. As a follow up to the Touch & Create app, the next challenge was to create an online portal that showcased the app user-generated content and works of featured artists.

Approach

The website was developed with the aim to profile the artists – and their work – participating in the program, upcoming exhibitions, artists’ blog, an online gallery showcasing artwork generated through the Touch & Create App and the program’s projects in development. My involvement as UX Designer involved planning the information architecture, database structure and taxonomy, the production of site maps, wireframes and InVision prototypes, before moving on to the User Interface Design and WordPress theme development.
